The fourth and fifth graders will not have reading homework due to the MCAS testing this week.
Also, after school program for both math and reading will be cancelled for Monday and Tuesday this week and next due to MCAS testing and preparation. Mrs. K

Readathon results
Grade 4: Allison read the most minutes
The boys beat the girls, they read almost 1,000 minutes more!
Grade 5: Kerry read the most minutes, but Melissa was only 14 minutes behind her!!!!
The girls beat the boys
5th grade won! They read more minutes than 4th grade.
I was very impressed with the amount of reading that the children did over the February vacation.

HW March 7-10
Grade 4
Mon and Tues: Look over your writing folder with an adult. READ your whole story on a special person to an adult. Add details as you read. Copy over first page on white paper neatly (final copy).
Wed and Thurs: REREAD your whole story on a special person to an adult. Add more details as you read. Copy over the second and third page on white paper (final copy).
***Your final copy should be MUCH better than your rough draft. It should be 2-3 pgs long. Have a parent sign the HW sheet.
Grade 5:
Read 20-30 min. per night. Have bookmark signed by a parent
