Happy Halloween!

Hard work is REWARDED!

Today Mrs. Fritz surprised all of the 4th and 5th graders who worked so hard last year on the MCAS with an ice cream sundae party, extra recess, and a commendation school achievement ribbon.  Congratulations on your hard work and SUCCESS!

Here is the list for the party on Friday. Our party will begin directly after the parade.

HW October 27-30

Grade 4: A book will go home from the David Adler biography series. Please have your child do the following:
Monday: read the book and start the brainstorm page
Tuesday: finish the brainstorm
Wednesday: Write a one page report (several paragraphs) using the brainstorm
Thursday: work on the report cover (draw or print out pictures of the person)
The report on due on Friday. The 4th graders will pick another biography book from the series and do the same thing for homework next week.

Grade 5: Continue with Shiloh Season. The book should be finished a week from Monday.

HW for October 20-23

Grade 4: We will have reading worksheets again this week. Next week we will start biography projects.
Grade 5: Please read and summarize Shiloh Season a chapter a night. Starting on Monday we are on chapter 8.

Homework Oct 14-16

Grade 4: we will not be starting a new book just yet. This week homework will be MCAS release stories with questions. We will be starting a unit on biographies in class. Over the next few weeks 4th graders will be doing short biography reports for homework. 

Grade 5: a test on the book, Discovery of the  Americas will be on Friday. A study guide will go home Tues. with the book. Also, continue reading and summarizing a chapter a night on Shiloh Season

HW week of October 6-9

Grade 4: continue to read and summarize Jake Drake. This story should be finished on Thursday night.
Grade 5: We will start a new novel: Shiloh Season on Monday night. Please read a chapter a night and summarize. Also, a map about the explorers will be going home. It is due on Friday. The link for directions for the map:

Our last night at NC!

Here are the final pictures from our final night at Nature's Classroom.  We had a fun skit show called Thursday Night Live that was hilarious!!  We sure did have the best time here and don't really want to come home!  If only every school day was as much fun as a Nature's Classroom Day!   See you soon!
